This is due, in no small part, to the work undertaken by The International Committee for Lacrosse Development http://www.icfld.com .

The ICLD was set up by the efforts of dedicated FIL (Federation of International Lacrosse, formally the ILF and the IFWLA) volunteer leaders from around the world, focused on helping to foster and facilitate initial lacrosse development anywhere on the planet.
This committee was put in place to liaise with all developing countries with a goal of helping this great sport get established worldwide. Support is offered in the form of providing information, DVD’s, equipment grants, clinics and offering advice and guidance to native individuals and groups interested in establishing lacrosse in their country.
